Facebook’s WhatsApp messenger has finally implemented the stickers feature that competitors have had for years.
Sticker packs from the messenger team and third-party designers will gradually become available to all users on Android and iOS.
The messenger team said that for a start, users will be presented with stickers from WhatsApp designers, but then developers from all over the world will be able to create their own options. However, they will have to be placed in the Google Play or App Store as separate applications. After installing such an application, stickers will become available to users in WhatsApp thanks to a new API.
Stickers in WhatsApp will allow users to more fully express their emotions, if for this there are already not enough “gifs” available in the messenger from the Giphy service or standard emojis.
A new button will appear in the message compose line to send a sticker. By clicking it, you can select a sticker or add a new set to your collection.
